I'm in this week but its paid stuff today and tomorrow so I'll do what I can when I can
I've also not caught up with the thread properly. I'll read back later when I'm done for the day.
My window has had to be washed clean! Came down this morning to the black paint cracking, lifting and falling off. I tried to fix it, and it went even worse. So I cleaned the whole thing off and I'll grab some black acrylic paint and do it again. All the other colours were fine. I am really glad I decided to do a Halloween window as I keep it pretty simple, if I'd just gone a head and did my Christmas window which is usually very detailed (ie Santas sleigh filled with toys both wrapped and not wrapped) and woke up to the same thing I may well have smashed the window in frustration
Well it does usually take me 5 full days to do it!
I need to get on with work now. I've lost 2 hours today to the boiler needing to be fixed again. Same problem that we had in January, and the fella laughed when I diagnosed the problem correctly without him even taking the cover off the boilerLandlady has said get her prices on repairing it (Major ££££) or replacing it (A lot less ££)
Thank goodness my work is pretty simple this time round as there's hardly any orders, they're just more expensive as they're gift sets
Catch you all later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hi all,
We are back from a fabby weekend away and all completely bushed. I've just about unpacked and even stuck our swimmies in the wash.
We are in, of sorts, thanks natty I'll be WFH For the next two days and trying to get back to normal after all our jaunts. It's been a busy month so I'm hoping for a quiet few weeks now. I've laundry to deal with and I also want to do some pre-winter gardening this half term.
holly my youngest was milk protein intol too. She's 5 now and still has meds for some symptoms but has largely outgrown it. We had to avoid dairy and soya for some time, so do shout if you need any suggestions for alternatives xxxBossymoo

I'm in as best I can, getting as much done as possible between now and Wednesday, as Harriet Spaniel will be arriving on Thursday.
Patch went home Saturday (good news - she's coming back for a few days in December) and I vacuumed up three cylinders of Patch-hair!
The little chap who is booked in to stay from 31st December to 4th January is a known thief, so I shall have to find places to put anything I'd normally leave out on the tops - good idea hiding it in the micro, HB.
I also have a booking for Miss Fingerbiter later in February - she comes with a muzzle to use at our discretion; but what we did last time she stayed was put it on before we set out and use a less-frequented route. To start with, we're less likely to see off-leash dogs; and hopefully the muzzle sends a clear signal to owners that she's not friendly to other dogs.
HB I feel for poor Kelpie (just been catching up with last week's thread); thankfully most dog-owners round here are responsible, and if their dog isn't friendly, they haul him/her in.
Continued healing for Muttley; and I must go and at least look as though I'm doing something useful. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
