What can I get into a loft conversion

Hi, I'm considering putting in an offer for a bungalow. The bungalow is a typical 1970s two bedroomed semi. Ideally, I don't really want to live in a bungalow (sleeping downstairs issues) but I've noticed a lot of in the area have converted the loft, if I could do this I would definitely put in an offer. The bungalow is 30,000 less that a three bedroomed house near by.

I would want to put two bedrooms (a least one double) and a bathroom / shower room into it, allowing one of the bedrooms downstairs to be knocked through to the kitchen.

The loft is approximately 42 square meters (based on estate agents layout plan), I'm not sure about head height but given there are so many conversions I'm guessing the head height is ok and I would plan a dormer. Does this sound like adequate room for what I want.
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

Impossible to say. It takes considerable time and measuring to work out a loft conversion. It's imperative to know the pitch of the roof, whether there are gables and the likely locations for stairs.

I'd look at Zoopla property history for estate agents details of those that have been converted.

Is the existing roof made with W trusses? This complicates it.

You could easily spend £30k on a loft conversion.

If as you say lots have been done just look up past older applications etc (newer think after 2008 most would'nt need them ) on council’s site for those in that area? If there roughly what you want call firms on the applications chances are you'll get all the info you need...
