All ok here, anyone got issues?
Barclays customers have been reporting difficulties accessing money in their own bank accounts, and also in making payments, on Saturday and Sunday.
Some reported having their debit cards blocked.
The bank said on Twitter on Saturday morning that it was "experiencing technical issues" and that these were being "investigated urgently".
But on Sunday some customers said they were still experiencing problems in accessing cash

Wasn't it Halifax/Lloyds/TSB that were performing maintenance on their ATM network over this weekend?0

Natwest and Nationwide too. I think the "maintenance" was putting their clocks back one hour at 2am.
The Mail On Sunday is reporting:The lender told The Guardian that the latest problem was an internal one and was not caused by someone hacking into its computers.
Odd that they refer to Barclays as a "lender".0 -
Yes I think nearly all the large banks were, LBS, RBS, Barclays, due to the clock change.0

Perhaps I'm oversimplifying, but couldn't banks simply timestamp transactions in UTC in their databases and let the front-end software decide whether to display in UTC or BST/GMT depending on the application? It seems really bizarre to me that they can literally have no transactions take place for an hour.I refer you all to my post on another current thread:

Spare a thought for the Turks, it seems the government decided not to put their clocks back an hour as normal, unfortunately no one told many of the people in control of official/system clocks.
What's the time?0 -

Possibly, but in my experience they don't. I would expect the cost of such a change outweighs the cost of doing it the way they do. Perhaps some of the new banks are more sophisticated and don't require the outage, if so maybe someone who knows could post on here.0 -
More problems tonight.
