Online raffle legalites
Hi there, I'm looking to raise money for charity by running a raffle, but rather than do it at a venue id like to do it online through rafflecreator.com.
Does anyone know if this is legal? Looking at the gambling commission website it looks like you need to get a remote gambling licence but none of the options seem relevant to a small personal lottery like this.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks
Dan

No, but my recommendation would be to contact the charity on whose behalf you wish to raise funds. Two reasons: they may have some experience in this area, but more importantly if you are using a charity's name to raise money, you need to get their permission.Signature removed for peace of mind0
