Natwest down again, or is it just me?

Is anyone having issues logging on to Natwest online banking today, or is it just me having problems? All I get is a blank screen.

Odd, tried clearing cookies, used IE and Firefox too - it's working again now though.

Remember, clock change is tonight and pretty much every bank will have some down time overnight (although I wouldn't expect it to happen this early).

Yeah I did see notices about that on TSB and Halifax - not sure if I remember Natwest saying the same but I wouldn't be surprised.

Most of the banks I use have been displaying messages for a while about being down for maintenance tonight.

Presumably it's because the clocks change.

    Yes,sorry-should have been more clear.
It was a notice when I logged into my online banking, saying there would be routine maintenance (something like 1-5am).I had to "tick" a box acknowledging I had read it

  • They often go down very early of a sunday morning for maintenance, whether the clock change has prompted this weeks i don't know.

Not that anyone needs to be logged in at such an ungodly hour.

No, heavens forbid that night shift workers need to check their accounts or someone is checking their account from abroad!

Although banks have made big efforts to reduce the down time for clock changes it's pretty much inevitable that IT systems have to be unavailable for the hour from 02:00 BST / 01:00 GMT otherwise transactions would have duplicate timestamps which could, and probably would, cause all sort of chaos.
