Job seekers allowance entitlement when living with partner?

Hello quick question please.
My girlfriend is currently unemployed, she been signing on for about 6 months now. We moved in together about 2 months ago.
I earn only £16,000 which barely covers everything, so we use her JSA to pay some of the bills.
However the JobCentre Plus as turned around as said now she lives with me, she not entitled to it? I was under the impression anyone who is unemployed and paid NI in the past should be able to get it?
I've checked the Job Centre website and it says nothing about this.
We in a real panic because we have bills to pay and no money to pay it with! She signed on last Monday and they didn't say anything about not being entitled then?
How can they be so cold and difficult about it? The guy on the phone didn't even seem to care.
Help!

Contribution based jobseekers allowance stops after 6 months. The claim is then means tested for income based JSA.
Two things would stop her from getting income based JSA.
1. If you are working more than 24 hours per week.
2. Your weekly income of £306 (£242 after tax) is too high.0
