Morning All
I have SSE 76MB Fibre BB and the equipment is very poor (slow speeds and wifi issues, as such I am wanting to replace it/part of it.
Currently my set up is an openreach modem connected to an SSE Technicolor router.
What should I buy for the replacement (my budget is under £80)? What should I look for in the tech specs in the shop to make sure what I am buying is what I need?
I need it to connect 5-6 devices including a wireless printer.
Any assistance greatly appreciated

You need a DSL Router or a Cable router.
Something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-LINK-TL-WR841N-300Mbps-Wireless-Router/dp/B001FWYGJS/
Any DSL router will do, they may be advertised as routers for Virgin but they do the same job for Fibre over the phone line.
Basically you connect the OpenReach modem to the router's WAN port via network cable, then plug everything else into the router. Configure the router with your username and password, setup the wireless on the router, connect to it with your laptop/phone/pc/whatever and Bob's your Uncle.0 -
Changing the router may help with WiFi (or not) but it won't make a blind bit of difference to the wired speeds you get. How do your speeds compare to the estimate you were given and how are you measuring them?0
