    There isn't any!

Edit: Sorry, I know that isn't much help but its chaos in Liverpool at the moment with the building works and changes to the city centre. Stay away from the main streets as the meters are the most expensive and park in one of the multi storeys.

Actually i stayed in a multi story the other day for a few hours and it cost £2 an hour. It was actually less to park on a side street just off the main town

will this be ongoing or just a few times
trains run into Liverpool from all angles and to try to reduce parking in town the stations offer free park and ride which is a great idea. Dont know what direction you are coming from but say parking in Leasowe Station(wirral) and getting the train will cost £1.40 /£2.00 return and you can park there all day. Its not free but it wouldnt break the bank plus if you had to drive through the tunnel and back it would cost £2.60 PLUS PETROL

I park in the Costco/Toys 'r us carpark for absolutely nothing. It takes about 5minutes to walk into the city centre.

Not sure if the carpark is regulated, but I park there a lot and have never had a ticket etc.
  • If its the weekend you can park in Liverpool University(Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, Merseyside, L69 7BR)... a few minutes walk to the city centre.

perhaps try getting an 08 card, it gives you

"Free travel of the S2 and S3 Liverpool city centre bus routes"

    you can also get

"two-for-one travel on Merseyrail after 6pm EVERY Thursday so there will be no parking hassles"

so you get the train and then the bus and you don't have to worry about parking.

sorry to repost like...but does anyone know of any roadside parking thats free in-around the city centre? thanks
  • It depends entirely on how far you want to walk. Plenty of places around Liverpool University and China Town.

What time are you visiting? A few car parks are free after 7.30pm. Before that and I wish you luck.

Roadside parking is free after 6pm each day.

Other than that you are looking at a fair walk.

I think the link shows inner parking in red, and outer in blue - the times are the same (8am - 6pm) but the prices are different (note you need to 'check' the parking one box in the top right hand corner).

You can park outside this, provided it wasn't covered by residents parking restrictions, but it would be a fair hike to the city centre.
