new laptop not linking to my wireless

son bought a new laptop;- FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO LA1703 and its running vista basic - i have winxp and am using a linksys 2.4ghz and my daughter is also running a hp xp laptop through it
but;-
can only find daughters laptop to connect to with sons laptop
thought this ok but it made internet go off thus ive had to disconnect him
can anyone post the step by step instructions so i can find my pc on his laptop or;
is the linksys not strong enough and would he be better getting a new connection of his own - we are with virgin.....
will log back on later tonight to see answers
