Hairline Cracks have Appeared in Newly Skimmed Wall - How to Fill These

Hi
I have several hairline cracks on my newly skimmed (3 months old) walls and ceilings. What's the BEST way to seal them filler or caulk? Should I make the crack wider with a knife so the substance moulds in well????
Please advise and ASAP! Thanks in advance.
Regards, Raul

We've got a few of these too, but in inconspicuous areas so I'm leaving them for now.
Don't use caulk. I would rake the crack out slightly, then get yourself some Easifill, mix a small amount up and fill it with that. Get it reasonably flush, and then sand down once fully cured (leave it 24 hours). Work quick, it goes off really quickly.
It sands down really easily, you should get a nice invisible finish depending on how well your existing paint finish touches up (if it doesn't touch up well, you'll only get an unnoticeable repair by re-painting corner to corner).0 -
As above, easyfil is my best friend, only I do not rake out slightly, as if crack is very fine, its not necessary, sometime even just painting over will fill the crack if very slight. You get 2 kind of easyfil that I know of, 1 with 20 mins working time, and 1 with 40mins working time - I use this one as other you need to make very small batches and work very very quick.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190
