OK, I stand corrected.
Although the actual wording of 4841 is "Cancelled Recurring Transaction", and there was no anything cancelled in this case, there is "cardholder alleges that the recurring payment agreement was entered into without proper notification" that is close to what you said above.
It's a different question whether there was a proper notification or wasn't.0 -
Monkeychops16 - your footer (signature or whatever it's called) is disproportionately massive when I view it. Dunno if others are finding the same thing.. !0

Hi there,
We've had a response from Shopper Discounts & Rewards about this thread. Please remember that the opinions of third-party companies do not represent those of MSE.
Hello Andy:
We’re sorry your credit card company misinformed you about how you signed up for Shopper Discounts & Rewards and for any concern that caused you. We’d like to address your concern by providing you with accurate details about Shopper Discounts & Rewards and the sign-up process.
It is not possible to be registered for Shopper Discounts & Rewards based on data from a previous online transaction or by simply checking a box as your credit card company told you. People are offered the opportunity to join Shopper Discounts & Rewards after completing a purchase at one of our online retail partner’s websites. All prospective members must manually enter the following details into the online Shopper Discounts & Rewards membership sign up page: their name, email address, postal address and their credit or debit card details. This sign up page clearly states there is a monthly fee. After entering these details on the sign up page, the prospective member must also create a personalised password and then click on a "YES" button to acknowledge they have read and agree to the membership Terms and Conditions and the Offer and Billing details. We email new members five emails in their first month of their membership to promote the benefits available to them and to remind them about billing. After this, they are then emailed monthly. Members can easily cancel at any time by contacting our customer service centre.
We will be happy to further assist you but we currently cannot identify your Shopper Discounts & Rewards membership record. If you have questions or would like further assistance, please contact our customer service centre on 800 389 6960 or at customerservice@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk so that we can identify your record. Alternatively, you can contact me directly at mary@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk (mailto:mary@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk).
Kind regards,
Mary
