I'd go for a pillowcase in the bath. Is it as described on ebay? If not send it back?Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

I can only add that I would use non-bio detergent or a special delicates soap like Lux Flakes or perhaps Woolite.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Contact the seller and ask them how it is supposed to be cleaned - with that label prohibiting both ways of cleaning.???
Do what they suggest - and on their head be it if it mucks it up0 -
Can you not remove the cream border and re-sew once clean?0

Some washing machines and some dryers have a cycle where you can tumble something in warm or cool air to freshen it up. I did my son's school blazer every term on this cycle, saved a fortune in dry cleaning bills!
Of course, if the garment is stained you have to treat the stains, and you have had some excellent suggestions so far.One life - your life - live it!0 -
Is there a manufacturer on the label you could contact for advice?0

I would put it on a clothes hanger and hang it in the shower. Make up a spray bottle with your soap powder and water- spray the dirty marks and then spray with cold water from the shower. Do not use hot water as that will set a stain. Leave it in the shower to drip or put it outside on the clothesline. I do this to clean my granddaughters' Disney dressing up outfits.0

I had a dress that had the same no wash/no dry clean label. I took it to the dry cleaners (small independent one) and the ladies asked if I wanted to risk it, I did and it was fine.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.0 -
It's not wearable as it is, so no loss if something goes wrong? I'd go for a delicates wash, inside a pillow-case, on its own, with colour-catcher sheets.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Thanks for all the suggestions. I haven't tried it in the bath yet, though I am tempted by hanging it up and spraying the relevant bits rather than immersing the whole thing.
I did risk four other dry clean only dresses on a cool delicates wash in the machine and they have all survived thankfully.
Weather forecast is good for Sunday so I will give it a try then and get it outside.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
