Questions re: Samsung E900

Hope someone can help, as I've just bought the above phone. My old phone is the E720 which is really similar to use but I have some issues with the the E900:

I want to be able to receive SMS delivery reports, and I know how to set this... you go to: Messages, Settings, Text Messages, Sending options and what is seen is as follows:

Reply Path
Delivery Report
Character support (GSM-Alphabet)
Bearer Selection (GSM)

Obviously I should simply press up/down to get to delivery report, tick the box, and it's done (this is exactly how it works on my old E720). HOWEVER, when I press up/down, it only scrolls between Character support and Bearer Selection! For some reason it doesn't go up to reply path or delivery report, and I can't figure out why!

Can someone please help?!

Also, does anyway know if it's possible, when the screen is not in use and goes black, for it to have some kind of screensaver instead, or ideally, to display the time? And is there any way of knowing that you've missed a call/text without having to open the slider?

I'm sure I'll probably be back with more questions as I'm still playing with it.... any help would be much appreciated!

by any chance are you on o2?? cos i kno u have to put a prefix in front of the number u want a report on....its a royal pain in the !!!!

As O2 do not support SMS delivery reports by just activating the option in message settings, enter *0# at the start of each text. Create a template.

owww is it in front of the text, idiot on the phone told me before the number.....just testin it out now..



Edit: just tested and it isnt in front of the text in the message...

Yeah I know about the 02 way of doing it, but I'm on Orange.

I thought on Orange you could write "RCT" at the start of the text and it will send you a receipt??? I tried this today but it didn't work (I'm sure I used to use this method years ago and it worked fine)
