Blu-ray ripping software

What's a good, inexpensive program for ripping Blu-ray films to a single video file?

I just want to have digital copies of certain titles I already own, for use on my network media player etc.

There doesn't seem to be any freeware that is up to the job, so it looks like I'll have to go down the paid route. I have trialled Acrok which does the job well but for the full version you would have to splash out around £40.

Are there are any cheaper alternatives anyone can recommend?

Blu-ray discs are designed to be significantly harder to rip, however maybe some of those discs actually have the 'Ultraviolet' service where you get free access to a streaming copy alongside the disc?

If you get frustrated by the uselessness of the freebies (sometimes its worth spending money) I suggest you give L eawo Blu-ray ripper a trial.
Trial or Buy for about £20 here -> I'm having trouble pasting the link (MSE doesn't like L aewo...)

EDIT: just google eawo (with an L at the front) blu ray ripper 30%

Been there, done that and bought the t-shirt.

Not all of those support Blu-ray though (as opposed to DVD) or at least not for free anyway. Freemake, which I already use for ripping DVDs, won't recognise Blu-ray discs and the free version of MakeMKV is DVD only.

Handbrake seems to be trickier to use when it comes to Blu-ray.

I'm not looking to back up entire discs either, just the main titles, so I have no use for software geared towards creating an ISO of the disc.

Indeed, some of them do but sadly not all.
