New Build Contract does not include floorplan

Hi,
We are FTB and currently in process of buying a new build house. Our question is, is it usual for the floorplan not to be included in the contract? We have asked our conveyancer but they have said that the contract will only include the plan which shows the boundary but not the floor plan.
Thanks.

Our new build lease has a layout plan showing internal walls in addition the the boundary plan.0

Surely the contract specifies what your buying?
ie. rooms, size of rooms, fittings etc0 -

No it doesn't. There will simply be a vague reference to specifications which canbe inspected. Even then builders make it all as vague as possible. A good reason for never buying a house off plan.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0
