My thoughts are to keep your own records and not rely of the suppliers website because when it all goes wrong and you can't access your account you have no info to fall back on.
Always record your readings, check statements regularly, of if paperless check your account regularly.
Make sure any estimates are corrected by sending in an up to date reading and making sure that the statement gets amended and last but not least download and save or print out a statement every now and again just so you've got a reference point to fall back on in the case of any queries.
It's nigh on impossible to sort out queries if you don't have a historical meter reading to check against.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
