so old school
shared data connection + Netflix or films on device.
Oldschool still has its uses. We are a 'technologically appropriate' householdNot to mention I've only got a 2GB data allowance that Netflix would chew through too quickly.
To be honest, my lads generally chat to us or listen to the radio when we're driving and they're quite happy with it. The DVD players only come out for 1hr+ drives0 -
OP THIS may interest you...
£130 for this spec?As for specs it's looking to be at the lowest end of the spectrum with a unnamed quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, 32GB microSD support and Android 5.1.
We have a tablet here (near disposable) that was bought for £30 with that spec.0 -
second hand iPad 2/3 should go for £130-£2000

"kid proof' tablets only teach your children to be irresponsible. My son hasn't put a scratch on his Nexus 7 since he got it for his 5th birthday. It's just in a normal 'adult' case.0

Why can't the children share a tablet or do you have a family one they can use. I'm not too keen on giving too many gadgets to children though, hence my DD was 13 before she had a TV in her room and 14 before she had a laptop! We never found need for mobile DVD players as we are a family who like to sing loudly along to CD/Radio in car
~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

DD has abandoned her iPod in favour of just using her iphone and uses Spotify mainly. OH radio isn't blue tooth but you can buy a lead to connect it to a special socket in the front arm rest but as DD in uni and rarely in car we stick to what we know!
I added a Parrot bluetooth to my car as my old sat nav wasnt up to the task.
Not cheap but a great unit that gave line in/bluetooth/ipod connectivity.0
