ISA with passbook

Does anyone offer ISAs with passbooks? Older people prefer them to statement based accounts.

You can use a comparison service to find some. Anything with Branch / Postal access probably comes with a passbook.

Mum just got one with Nationwide paying 1.4% instant access. The pass book arrived through the post but she needs to go into the branch to sign it.

It's not a great rate but mum had too much money in Santander so needed to 'spread it about'. Keeping it safe was our main priority- mum needed to 'see' where her money was.

Although mum doesn't need an ISA this was the best paying instant access account that had branches locally.

Nationwide actually do a 1.6% ISA - all you need is a FlexDirect account to get access to it. You don't even need to use the FlexDirect although it obviously pays 5% on up to £2,500 for the first 12 months.

Thank you for taking the time to reply- this was simply too much for mum to grasp and feel comfortable with.

We managed to shuffle money about in Santander, write a cheque, correctly (on the 3rd attempt), and sign the application form for Nationwide ISA in well under 3 hours... and no tears from mum..... She stubbornly refuses to consider POA, shame really but it's her stubbornness that has kept her going to the great age of 89.

Thanks again for your kind advice

I've just opened a 3 year ISA with the Leeds Building Society, 2.3%, and got a passbook.
