I have updated my windows 8.1 to 10 and I'm not struck by it. I would like to dual boot a linux system called Zorin. I have read that I have to put "secure boot" to off, but when I press F12 and get the boot part when I press enter it just starts into the windows 10 start up.
I have tried the zorin dvd in another old laptop and it starts ok
my computer is Fujitsu AH512
thanks for any help

Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0

As an alternative, you could install VMware Player (free) and run Linux within that.0
-
Or install Windows 7, since you are not taken with 8 and 10.0

Hi
Zorin appears to be 'Live' distro. Which means it will load and run in ram memory, and then install from there if wanted.
F12 seems to be the boot sequence selector, you could of course change the sequence in the BIOS to optical disk first.
############################
Starting the BIOS Setup Utility
► Reboot the device (switch off/on or reboot the operating system). BIOSSetupUtility The following or a similar display appears on the screen at start-up: <F2> BIOS Setup <F12> Boot Menu
► Press the function key F2 .
► If a password has been used, enter the password and press Enter key.
► Switch the notebook on. The following display briefly appears on the screen during start-up: <ESC>Diagnostic screen <F12>Boot Menu <F2>BIOS Setup
► When this message appears, press the function key F12 .
► Insert the "Zorin DVD / CD" into the optical drive.
► Select CD-ROM and press the Enter key.
► Follow the instructions on the screen.
► Restart your notebook when the driver installation is completed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
