Problem Switching to TSB Classic Plus

Tempted by the £125 switching incentive, I decided to switch my current account from Citibank to TSB. Unfortunately when I entered my Citibank details into the TSB switching service, they weren't accepted. I phoned TSB and they are saying that it is not possible to carry out a switch between Citibank and TSB. I would be interested if anyone else has had a similar experience in trying to switch to TSB.

Citi are not part of the current account switch service so no bank can offer it for them http://www.simplerworld.co.uk/Pages/Banks.aspx

You can still move your SOs and DDs yourself but obviously you won't get a switching bonus.

Just checked the t&cs for this deal. It doesn't mention the 7 day switch so I am going to suggest if you want the £125 you get into a branch and get them to do you a manual switch. It's basically doing it the old way, it's a massive palava and takes about 28 days to do but if you want the £125 I would suggest it's the way forward.

Would get into branch pretty quickly cause if switch has to be completed by 23rd November then it'll need to be started soon.

Live every day like its your last because you never know it might just be!

I do work for a bank however any comments I make are my own and should not be seen as me giving advice or in any connection to my employer.
