Car finance after just starting new job?

Hoping someone can help me!
I've only been in my current job 3 weeks so haven't had first pay yet. Prior to my current job I worked for a bank for 2 years and could provide bank statements etc to support the wage I was getting... I've only got £22 outgoing for a phone bill no other credit or bills
My question is I'll be trying to get car finance in the next couple of weeks am I likely to be declined because I've just started a new job? Or will my previous job still count for something that I've never been out of work etc?
Thank you

I'm pretty sure a bank loan would be cheaper than car finance, and you already have history with the bank.0
