I was looking at the eligibility checker online and it came up with the mbna platinum card 95% ..do you think it's worth applying ?
Also what kind of credit limits do they give?
The only other credit I have is a aqua card but limit is only £950 but my payments are all on time .
Shall I wait till my limit increases then apply ?

Well it wont go any higher than 95%.
I applied for a MBNA BT last month. 95% on the eligibility checker, i got it 8.5k limit.
But do remember that it is only indictive, its based on what is hel on your credit files and what the company who make the checker THINK that MBNA are looking for. The actual lending decision will be made taking into account a host of information not all of which is on your credit file.
But this stuff isnt life or death, apply, you'll either get it or you wont!£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000

MSE's tool gave me a figure of 95% for one of MBNA's Balance Transfer/Money Transfer cards.
Using MBNA's own tool gave me a shorter money/balance transfer offer (12 months instead of 32 or whatever it is) and a higher APR of 23.9%.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
You have to do MBNA's own soft search anyway. How it works is that you choose a card, enter your details, they do a soft search and then make you a provisional offer if they can. If you accept, they do a full search and then your offer becomes final or not. The point is of course that if you refuse their offer resulting from the soft search your credit file is not impacted.0

There is Quidco available on some MBNA credit cards.
Nothing massive but better than nothing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
