Well, i'm always a girl who likes a bit of bedtime reading, and having just finished Harry potter, (courtesy of sea 78 thanks sea!!!) I was fishing around for a book to read.
Had one of those ooooh i really fancy reading that terry pratchet one where.... I then remembered that with the exception of 3, i have sold all of my beloved terry pratchet hard back books since being on my DFW quest
I guess it semed like a good idea at the time but i sooooo wish i hadn't now. Is £1.20 adequate recompense for the enjoyment and pleasure you can get from a good book as i do?
So that got me thinking, and without a book to read thought i'd post it..
what have others out there sold in a fit of money raising and now wish they hadn't? or is it just me?....

It's something I've been thinking about tonight having listed some of my teddies (went through a phase of collecting teddies about 10 years ago)
My OH keeps telling me I don't need to sell things if I want them - for example my sylvannian families from when I was little I know they'd go well on ebay. They were in my parents loft last time I went down and didn't get a chance to get them down and won't be down there for a while so don't need to decide there yet.

I wish I hadn't sold my bike. I bought it about four years ago, and it spent more time in the shed than anywhere else. I sold it for £60 (about a third of what I'd paid). Three months later my car was repo'd.
What is it they say about hindsight? :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I had to pawn a very expensive gold and diamond bracelet my ex fiancée bought me years ago. It had to be done because he left me in so much
debt, but I don't regret it. What I do regret is not selling it on ebay for double what the pawn gave me! :rotfl:Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:0 -

I totally agree Rog2! oops! did you have to buy another? I also sold some collectable teds, but was moving in with OH where they weren't gratefully recieved so i guess they HAD to go.
