Trust me, it's a scary moment lol.
I thought it was a simple blow out until I started jacking it up to change the wheel. The wheel lifted straight away which looked weird, I put my hand over the top and felt the mess and spring still inside the tyre cavity.

The AA man with the flatbed said he sees it all the time.

Citroen did a recall a decade ago because of exactly that.
