Vanquis PPI/RPI

Hello,
I have an active card with Vanquis and wrote a letter to complain about PPI charges. They have responded to say I don't pay PPI but I pay RPI, Repayment Protection Insurance. I was sold this when I got the credit card out and I get charged each month depending on how much balance I have. I was told that I won't get the card if I don't take out the insurance. I feel that I have been pressurised into it and it's pretty much the same a PPI.Does anyone know if there is any legislation around this and if I should proceed to complain further to he ombudsman?
Thank in advance
Adele

  • You can complain about it if you wish.

That does not mean it will be upheld. If it is more than 8 weeks since you first complained, or they have told you that you have six months to go to the Financial Ombudsman Service, you can do so now.

That does not mean the complaint will be upheld, though.
