holiday Safe insurance

Holiday safe insurance lies to customers who take out their policy for international Multi-trip holiday. Also, no one ever picks up the phone whenever you call, I have been trying all day to call them, however no one is picking up the phone and then the machine hangs ups after we have been on the phone for too long. No I don't want to leave my name and number I want to talk to a human being that should be able to understand my complaint.

My Holiday laST month was delayed by American Airline for a day, so I had to pay for accommodation to stay an extra night in the USA. However it was refuse by the the company as they claim it wasn't covered in my policy even though I got compensation for my delayed travel. Doesn't the two go hand in hand? Where else am I supposed to stay if my flight was delay overnight? Also who purchases insurances without delay cover. The document I have states clearly I am covered for accommodation and the compensation I am asking is below the cover price. What is Holiday Safe Insurance deal.


WARNING: don't purchase anything from them, if you do MAKE SURE you get a manager to clearly state the delays overnight is not separate from accommodation purchase for said delay!!!!

    No, the two don't go hand in hand. The policy covers what is says it covers. Was your delay the fault of the airline? Did they not sort you out?

    I think you'll find they moved offices again last weekend and they also experience a breakdown in their broadband.

    This was compounded by the month having an "R" in it and Newcastle scoring six goals against Norwich which interfered with their Flux Capacitor.

    I can confirm that it has nothing to do with them being understaffed.

    They would not have any problems with their phone lines if those pesky clients stopped bothering them.

    I can say with some certainty that whatever the excuses are, they will not be Holidaysafe's fault.

    What does your policy say your entitled to?

  • Dacouch, the exact wording below:

    'If your departure is delayed by 12 hours or more

    Benefit for delays over 12 hours at your international departure point which you could use towards the cost of any additional accommodation, car parking charges, food, drinks or telephone calls not provided by your carrier.'


    Please correct if I am wrong but my flight was delay for more then 12 hours, hence why I should have cover from my accommodation

    Thank you for your post, my name is Amber Howard and I am the Brand Manager for Holidaysafe. Firstly, I am sorry that you feel dissatisfied by the outcome of your claim, and that you've had problems contacting the claims team.

    It is difficult for me to comment without knowing the individual circumstances of your claim, however in situations where the airline is at fault for the delay, they have a duty of care to their passengers, which can extend to covering the costs of overnight accommodation if necessary.

    Our delay section is designed to provide a fixed financial benefit every 12 hours to put towards certain things, it is not designed to cover any and all costs involved in the delay, as this should be raised with the airline.

    If you could email me your details (e.g. Claim number, Surname and Date of Birth) to holidaysafe@infinityinsurance.co.uk, I will speak to our Claims Manager on your behalf and then report back.

    Who paid the compensation you say you got?
    Was that amount not to cover food and accommodation?

    Your policy pays a fixed amount for a delay. That amount can be used to cover accommodation or any other cost.

    As you got £20 that would indicate that you paid for the standard policy which pays £10 for each 12 hour delay. It does not cover costs, just pays out a fixed amount for a delay.

    You did not take out a policy that paid for accommodation, which is usually provided by the airline of there is a delay
