Almost all modern budget machines, and many midrange ones, now have sealed drums, in which case you have to replace the whole unit, as the drum can't be split. This applies to all Beko, Hotpoint, etc and all but top-end Bosch w/m's. Miele are about the only manufacturer who don't use welded drums.
So unless you tell us the make and model it's not possible to advise. But unless you can do it yourself, it's not worth it on a budget model as the labour cost will be more than the value of the machine. And, unless it's a few years old, it probably is a budget model, as these tend to use undersized bearings that are only designed to last a few hundred cycles.

A|ll that's quite true but some can be repaired, if the bearings are sold on ebay then that's a starter.
Trouble is you still need to be something of a diy nut with eng experience to fix these.
    Look at the scales carefully
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

How about a second-hand one, i know there's many pitfalls but I bought a nearly new white washer for £70 off ebay. Why were they selling it? All their other appliances were silver so they'd bought a new washer to match!

All good advice above but no one appears to also mention how much fun it is to have a washing machine in bits, spread all over the kitchen area with the wife in your ear praising your ability to occupy every spare work surface!! You will also need a part or a tool just when shops have closed and someone else has just nipped out in the car - always.

    Good luck!!
