PARTIAL SUCCESS... What to do next?

Hi All,
Just looking for some advice please. We recently submitted a mis-selling compensation claim for ppi on a loan that my OH has. This loan was a consolidation loan taken out in 2008, incorporating (as it turns out) 5 other loans. So the claim went in for 1 loan and we ended up with a decision on 6!! 5 were upheld (the older ones) but the one we were interest in (the consolidation loan) was declined - although an adjustment was made to take into consideration the fact the balance was larger due to ppi on earlier loans.
It was declined on the basis of insufficient information relating to existing medical conditions (mini stroke, high blood pressure and irregular heart rhythm), proof of work / pay related cover (enhanced sick pay in place) and they believe the ppi would have been a suggestion rather than a requirement and all aspects of the cover would have been discussed. So is it a case of their word against OH's? I will be heading up into the loft tonight to see if I can locate any paperwork. Would there be a credit / loan agreement that OH would have had a copy of?
