Hi,
Does anybody know where I can find backdated information from 2009 onwards; on the interest rates & T&C’s; for the Lloyds bank Gold account?
I’ve tried the Lloyds bank website & I’ve visited my local branch; but as this product has not been sold for a number of years, I was informed that all information would have been archived.

Hello there,
Try the following link: http://www.lloydsbank.com/legal/current-accounts/gold-account.asp?srnum=2
Managed to find the Terms and Conditions in a PDF format (from November 2014) and some interest rates relating to Current Accounts and Overdrafts.
However I've a feeling you've already viewed this information and it's not what you're looking for? It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Hi,
I’m predominantly looking for any information on changes to the interest rates, on the Gold account around 2009 & 2011/12. I’m also looking for any updates to their T&C during these periods.0 -
Gold Service Account
Gold Service current accountInterest paid annually
*AER %Gross %Net %
£50,000 +0.100.100.08
£1+0.100.100.08
These interest rates were correct from 04/04/2005 to 02/10/2012.
Thanks colsten, this might help.
In response to a recent complaint I was told that the updated T&C stated that I would have only received interest for the months which I’d paid in £1,000 or more & only 0.1% for balances up to £5,000, no interest for any balance over this amount. I’m sure the £1,000/month only applied if you added Vantage to the Gold account?
I was also informed that interest was no longer paid for this type of account in 2011.0 -
Did the Gold account ever pay interest on credit balances?
From memory you had to leave £1000 in the account to get the travel insurance etc benefits for free or otherwise there was a monthly fee.
I think the sum you needed to leave in increased to £1500 a few years later.
If you really want a copy of the terms you could write to Customer relations dept at the bank -address on the website.0 -

Yes, I received interest up to July 2011.
I visited the branch on 12th Oct & asked them to look into the interest payments on this account. I raised the matter again during an appointment I had on the 19th Oct & made a formal complaint.
I received a telephone call from the branch later that day offing compensation, but I didn’t feel the amount was acceptable, so asked for this to be escalated.
I received 2 telephone calls today from their complaints department, with a better offer, but stating clauses in their T&C which I don’t agree with.
At the meeting on the 19th Oct, I requested details on the Interest rates & their T&C for these periods, but they were unable to locate any information on either the Lloyds website or their Internal Intranet. I repeated this request to the lady from their complaints department, but was told that information from this far back, would likely have been archived.0 -
Archived just means it is stored somewhere - they will be able to get hold of it if the complaints department are involved.
What exactly are you complaining about - what have they offered you?0
