Npower- enough is enough

So, after having my debt amount on my electricity pre-payment meter, increased by nearly £500, six months after my original complaint was closed, which went to the Ombudsman, I emailed the Executive Complaints dept only now to be told that I am obviously confusing the amount with my gas pre-payment account, which previously had an amount close to that, written off. ( due to Npower admitting liability for not sending out bills) How rude and patronising is that? I obviously responded to that email and copied the new CEO in it. Let's see what happens

  • Well, I'm happy to report it worked! Everything is as it should be and yes, it was confirmed a mistake had been made. That's got to be a first!

    Hello Christina H,

Thank for your post regarding the debt balance on your prepayment meter.

I’m sorry to see you had to contact us as the balance had increased by nearly £500! I’m glad to see this has since been resolved, however if you need to contact us again you can find our email address on our profile page.

    Thanks
    Laura :)

  • I had no choice but to contact Npower, because, if it would have been left for your company to contact me to advise that a mistake had been made, before adding this amount to my bill and before adding it to my prepayment meter, I'd still be waiting now! If it wouldn't have been for me questioning my bill, I'd still be none the wiser! Npower doesn't communicate with their customers before jumping into action and when they do finally communicate, they insult peoples intelligence by patronising them. Anyway, done now and I can't wait to switch
