Clueless need help to save money

Hi lovely peeps.

Having just received an email from sky informing me that they will be increasing the cost of sky talk. I'm wondering if I can get a better deal.
I really want to save money on my tv and phone and broadband but I have no idea if I should separate them to get a better deal or get a package.
Currently pay sky Round £70 a month for all 3.
Can't get virgin media as it not available in my area.
Any help would be much appreciated
Oh btw rarely use house phone as we mainly use our mobiles.
Thanks guys :)

What packages do you have? It's impossible to say if you can get a better deal than £70 without knowing what it is that the £70 pays for.

Also, what do you want? Sports, movies, none of them?

A better deal depends on whether your tv is out of minimum term, as cancelling triggers offers.

Having been given Family on moving from O2, I downgraded to Variety, last year, but finding that we rarely watch the extra channels involved have downgrade to Original at £10/month plus £50 cashback, so effectively £5.83.

I found the 1571 service useless as it cuts in very quickly after the first ring and cannot be adjusted. This was cancelled even before they started charging for it. At the new price of £1.25/month (£15/year) it costs little more to buy a phone with answer machine. (About £20, delivered, on Amazon, for a Panasonic)

If you want Sky movies, have you got a smart tv or device that can stream Now TV - movie package is about £8 per month - it includes all the same movies. In fact their entertainment package is only about £7 per month - you'd need to check out the channels you get against what you watch. Its streaming only so you need a decent broad band speed, and you've got unlimited which is essential. Now TV is monthly only so can be cancelled anytime.
Have basic Sky, get Now TV movies and entertainment, and you've saved about £22 per month (if you aren't in contract).
