Well done :j I am not being patronising but I had days I did not feel up to opening the door never mind getting dressed and crossing the threshold so feel for you.

All my bins are now out and the washing machine is on. I think someone is coming today to do the garden so not sure whether to hang washing out yet or not. I am dressed and having a mug of tea
and have chicken thighs, broth mix veg and pearl barley simmering in a saucepan so that is something done.

Older dd has asked me to look after their cat at the weekend as they have a wedding to go to and middle dd has said she will stay over at the weekend too so am looking forward to that.

    Hugs to all.

Quick good morning chums ,very busy day today a meeting at 11 and another one at 2.First is U3A, and the second about NHS treatment for the elderly in the local community. So my feet will barely touch the ground today ,quiz night tonight as well so today is just going to fly by.
DD texted me to say that in Sainsbobs the Dark brown bottle of Vanilla Extract is on offer at £4.00 instead of £6.00 odd so she is going to snaffle one for me.The Vanilla Extract is so much better than those tiny little bottle of essence that cost around 32.00 anyway ,plus you don't need to use as much and there is 5 times the amount in the bigger brown bottle .A bargain if like me you bake a lot :):):)
  • Good morning hope everyone is well. Hugs for those who need them x

It is a bright and sunny morning here today. First load of washing on the line second load in wm. I've been busy cleaning the wood burning stove this morning and it needed it. It now looks lovely and clean but i don't - i'm covered in soot. Off for a shower before I finish the rest of the living room.

Hope all goes well TA x
I love Cornwall Tru but sadly we haven't been this year :(
Hope everyone has a good day x
  • Morning all,

Chilly here today but isn't cold enough to want the heating on. On tea break at work right now, very slow and quiet so far...
Getting ready to decorate my downstairs bathroom and kitchen over the next 2 weeks. Will be filling in the cracks and then giving them both a lovely coat of paint. Both look so dim and dirty, long overdue some tlc! I might even get the doors done this weekend.
DD is with the grandparents after school so i can get pooch out for a stroll a bit later on. Have a portion of chicken curry in the fridge that needs using so that'll be tea done. General tidy around and then i'll catch up on Downton.

    Have good days all xx

  • Good morning

Quite bright here this morning. We have taken a load of bed linen and fleeces into the Hospice shop so my airing cupboard can now have a tidy.

DGD1 is coming home from Florence tonight so will be thrilled to see her and the many photos I am sure she has taken. She has sent a few in her emails but they are off to Pisa today so no doubt a photo will be taken in front of the leaning tower.

Will pop into town tomorrow, must visit the £ shop to stock up on scourers, dish cloths and the like. I haven't actually been in there for some time because I get annoyed they never have enough staff on the tills.

Taking sister and brother in law out for a carvery on Friday because it is their wedding anniversary, so looking forward to that.

Right I am off to make a cheese, onion and potato pie to have for our evening meal with grilled bacon and tomatoes.

TA I hope everything is being explained to you both and that it isn't too overwhelming.

    Have a good day all

  • Good Morning everyone, we have a golden day here today, blue sky and sunshine and it's making my silver birch shine on the front garden as the leaves are mostly that lovely bright yellow of autumn now, so pretty.

I've just been to the hairdresser and now look much less like an unpruned bush, we have Mollie the collie for the day again, her grandparents are on a narrow boat somewhere on the canal network and there is a problem with a lock they have to pass through to get back to the marina, lets hope they're not held up for too long but selfishly I've got an extra bonus day with the houndicus to enjoy. We'll take her for a nice long walk across the common this afternoon and make the most of the weather. Tomorrow looks very wet and blustery so I might, after my doctors appointment get the bus into the city as the stop is right outside the surgery and look for some 'stocking' presents for everyone and get a head start there.

Lunch today will be nice as I got some reduced smoked salmon and reduced crayfish at w8rose and have treated us to some wholemeal baguettes from the bakery in the village so can make Himself a 'Norwegian' baguette like those he so enjoyed when he was there with DD on holiday.

Most things done today, house clean and tidy, garden up to date as is the ironing so I shall just have a lovely day with Mollie and make my Quince Jelly as I've got them processed and through the jelly bag overnight, lovely!!!

Have yourselves a really nice day and I hope this sunshine is countrywide so you all get a little battery charge before the rain tomorrow, Lyn xxx.

    Morning all,

feeling a little brighter today. Still coughing me guts up every so often but i'm much better than i was.

Hope i'm feeling better tomorrow as its Moms birthday on Thursday and ive got a card i need to deliver to her (might not go and see her yet though in case i'm still infectious). I bought her some elasticated trousers for her birthday. She's only got a couple of pairs of trousers (the others went walkabout due to not being named so i'll make sure these are named). She's not warm enough in a dress or skirt.

Hubby says he's ill.... Now why doesnt that surprise me?

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Morning all,

Lovely and sunny here. Washing out on the line.

Just been and ordered my glasses. The total price was a bit of a shock, although I have to wear these all the time I am hoping I have made wise choices... Previously I only had reading and driving ones and went for the cheapest.

The guys are off to watch football tonight so I have control of the remote :)

    Have a good day :)

Dumpling (((HUGS))) I can go out on the mobility buggy to walk dogs, and as long as I don't meet anyone I'm ok. What I cannot cope with is being in the front garden on my own; if one of the neighbours stops to chat, I'm a gibbering wreck.:( Before we had the six-foot fence put up all round the back garden, I couldn't even go out there to put washing out, lest one of the neighbours speak to me. :(:(
Just do what you feel you can cope with, on the days you can do it, iyswim.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
