Halifax valuation to offer question

The buyer of my flat is having issues with the lender his broker tried (Accord-no idea why they bothered as online reviews are attrocious). They're being funny about service charges.
The broker has now applied with Halifax, or must have done last week as a valuation has now been booked in for the middle of this week. My question is, i imagine this is a good sign and the application so far must be well underway? Would he have passed their credit checks etc?
How long after the valuation visit might the buyer be offered his mortgage?
I accepted the offer around 6 weeks ago so am getting very impatient with all the hold ups!

My broker emailed the mortgage offer to me the day after. Usually it goes to valuation when the underwriting is done. Looks hopeful0

We went with Halifax and our broker assured us that it had been past the underwriter before valuation, but I've also heard that they instruct valuation immediately, no who knows!
I will say that we had our valuation on a Monday and didn't get our written offer until the following Wednesday  I was tearing my hair out as everyone elses on the waiting for mortgage offer board was so much quicker!Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭0
