Android 4.2 back, home folder buttons missing

Hi all,
A couple of days ago, my 3 buttons at the bottom of my android 4.2 stopped working.
Quite inconvenient to say the least
Any on recommend a free apk which I can download.
I did have "back button" from Amazon app store, but the Amazon app store kept sending me unwanted notifications do I removed Amazon Store.
Now back button wont work.
So looks like to have back button, I need to put up with unwanted notifications from Amazon.
Well, that's not how I see it, so I have not reinstalled the Amazon app.
but do need a apk to get my 3 buttons om my screen.
any help ?

If not backup data and factory reset .0 -

I used to have Button Savior at some point, but I agree that you have to try a hard reset first.
There are some other similar apps shown at the bottom of the webpage.0
