Hi Guys,
my renewal quote just came through at a whopping £710, a couple hundred of ££ more than last year, so I retrieved my old gocompare quote and re-ran it to generate a new quote.
Companies are coming up from as cheap as £300 but have never heard of them:

performance direct
Then for £50 more I could go for an M&S bank, or LLoyds or Halifax offering.
Typically I used Amiral or Churchill, but this year neither are towards the top of the list.
Any idea where I can see reviews / ratings of above?

M&S are underwritten by Zurich Insurance and are 5 Star Defacto rated so they should be quite reputable.0
