Has anyone got a Dyson hoover on here?
I have a Dyson 25 for our holiday home and have just purchased a new Dyson 40 for home, as last one conked out. The handle on the new dyson seems so flimsy compared to my other one and any previous ones I have had, in fact the whole of the machine, looks totally cheaper plastic, so I have fired off a complaint to Dyson to see what they say, not happy at all, may have to send it back and get something else.0 -

May the warmth and splendor,
that are a part of this auspicious occasion,

and bring to you joy and prosperity, for the whole year.

I recently bought a new Dyson and I have to agree with you.:(
There seem to be lots of flimsy plastic bits, that could break so easily.
If you get a reply from Dyson, please will you post what they say? Thanks.N1LDA:D0 -

I've had several dysons over the years with various amounts of success and some that havent been as good.
I have a dc33 at the moment its a big heavy thing but actually its quite good...the more lightweight models seem to be the ones that are not as well made and I had to throw away a purple and green ligherweight model because as you said some are very flimsy.
Recently I have got one of the v6 handheld cordless ones which is quite sturdy until you get to the unit where the dust collects, the catch is so rubbish I have already had a replacment under the guarantee and I only bought the vacuum 2 months ago.
got to say dyson is a bit hit and miss...some of the older models are great..but the newer ones are not as good quality and the dust collecting bins seem to be getting smaller and smaller.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
