Has anyone got a Dyson hoover on here?

I have a Dyson 25 for our holiday home and have just purchased a new Dyson 40 for home, as last one conked out. The handle on the new dyson seems so flimsy compared to my other one and any previous ones I have had, in fact the whole of the machine, looks totally cheaper plastic, so I have fired off a complaint to Dyson to see what they say, not happy at all, may have to send it back and get something else.

I recently bought a new Dyson and I have to agree with you.:(

There seem to be lots of flimsy plastic bits, that could break so easily.
If you get a reply from Dyson, please will you post what they say? Thanks.

I've had several dysons over the years with various amounts of success and some that havent been as good.

I have a dc33 at the moment its a big heavy thing but actually its quite good...the more lightweight models seem to be the ones that are not as well made and I had to throw away a purple and green ligherweight model because as you said some are very flimsy.

Recently I have got one of the v6 handheld cordless ones which is quite sturdy until you get to the unit where the dust collects, the catch is so rubbish I have already had a replacment under the guarantee and I only bought the vacuum 2 months ago.

got to say dyson is a bit hit and miss...some of the older models are great..but the newer ones are not as good quality and the dust collecting bins seem to be getting smaller and smaller.
