    CANCER the big C ...Just a memory from when my mother was diagnosed with it when i was only very young ....only going back 50 years ago and My Grandma maternal side found out that her daughter had the big C ... as we all say now we would die for our kids but that wasnt always the case rightly or wrongly or uneducated in illness ie the big C My Grandma when offered a cup of tea said to her other daughter not to give her a cup her daughter with the cancer had drank from ..... how much fear and ignorance this disease caused only such a short time back really it was never mentioned by name much either it was the( little head shake )) i cant ever remember the word being said ...my father never mentioned it my older brother told me when i was 17 that my mother had died due to cancer.....but a funny thing was when i was diagnosed with cancer and was poorly on the couch when he thought i was asleep my Dad would kiss my brow ...i tried talking to him about but he was scared bless him in his eyes i was ready for worm bait
  • Just driven back from DDs and realised at the last set of traffic lights that I had done the whole journey without having the car heater on. Then noticed that the external temp is 16 degrees. At 6pm in November. Long may it continue.

    Love and hugs to all those facing serious health challenges. Staying positive is important, easier said than done I know, but the thoughts of many are with you and wishing you well, and I hope there is some true comfort to be derived from that. xx

    I'm still going out in just a light fleece, no need for a coat yet :eek:
