I've just been to A ....and may have found something just as exciting as the mystery fizz....

They seem to be getting rid of a lot of old stock and in amonst the shelves I found chapel down brut....its an english "champagne" made in Kent...

it is one I am quite familiar with and usually it retails around the £20 mark...last year I noticed A were selling it at £12 but today my local have it priced a lot less.

Its marked up as sparking brut and on the till receipt going through as white wine at £5 a bottle.....I did leave some on the shelves but somehow 20 bottles jumped into my trolley

    no glitch ...just good price

    What a great bargain LEJC:T

Good morning Elite, been lurking recently. Not really joined in with glitching as so much going on. Need to get back on it along with comping what with xmas being around the corner.

Weather in manchester is wet and windy, got babysitting duties for dgd at 11am so need to get my backside into gear,

dd2 may be heading for a hospital school due to her social anxiety, we've been home edding for the past year but her counsellor says that she needs more opportunity to mix as she is self isolating rather than facing up to her anxiety. She is not ready for mainstream school though so the hospital school will hopefully be good for her, just got to hope she gets a place.

Ds2 is doing well since his asd diagnosis but we are concerned about his muscle weakness as the physio can't find a reason for it...back to the paediatrician for tests, been reading about mitochondrial dysfunction and autism link but will see what they say.

To add to the drama our car packed up last week :( ecu has gone and could cost up to £1000 to fix. We had to buy a banger to see us through as ds2 struggles with walking and oh has to get to work at ungodly hours. Stuck with a Renault Scenic that won't go and would only get £60 scrap for it.

Will try to post more often and more upbeat in future :)

Oh gosh strewth....you've got a lot on your plate at the moment:o
    Don't worry about being upbeat...just be yourself:A

So this afternoon very tongue in cheek I tweeted Aldi with a suitable photo and said don't think I've not noticed that you have added 4p to the price of your 350g blocks of cheese - the cheek of it! :D
They sent a standard reply to say my comments had been passed along

I also tweeted Sainsburys with a picture of their winter spice bleach to say how under whelmed I was. Despite the purple label and festive images my bathroom was not filled with the fragrance of Christmas. I said perhaps I had overly exaggerated expectations of a festive aroma from the pictures on the label.
They asked for a picture of the barcode and my nectar card number and are putting £5 of points on my card to make up for my disappointment :rotfl:

He does do the washing up though, but he balances items on top of other things when putting them back in the cupboards. He also does not seem to understand the concept of size order stacking, and returning things from whence they came. :rotfl: But I still love him.

Hi all - just popping in to say that my mystery bargain whites have arrived.
Previously I have got lots of different types in one box, but this time there were just 4 different kinds of wine, 3 bottles of each -maybe they are discontinued stock?
They are okay for £3.xx each, but nothing amazing - la Chasse / Dino / Vineyards Sav Blanc / Nederburg.
Nothing too embarrassing to serve at a party (like Liebfraumilch :) ), but nothing amazing either, just average value for what I paid I suppose.
Will try to read back a bit later, hope poorly people are feeling better x

    I love lambrini!!

It's a bit cheeky you have to register a debit/credit card for the 3rd clue though!

Not sure to be honest. It appears you win different shaped presents for different types of draws. I'm not entering my card details though, I don't know enough about how they monitor your details.

It is nothing to scare the horses though - if you register your debit or credit card that you regularly use instore it means you can collect cashback for your instore purchases as well as online (selected retailers only). This is just encouraging you to join.

Personally I trust TCB and QC (as much as you can trust any organisation!) and only see the positive - more cashback for instore puchases and currently more entries to the competition :). That said, I probably trust QC more than TCB to chase payments and pay up when there are any tracking issues.

That's unusual! We weren't the cheapest this time:j:j.

That's unusual, because people normally buy those items that look good prices and try their hardest to reduce any voucher otherwise due back:(.

Even if, on this occasion, they got the mbuy Pot Noodles:( and got the 2 for £2 on Birds Eye Grills:(, one of which is 'full price' in M. If you want five of them, and aren't too fussy about which ones you like - and will go for whichever ones are on offer - maybe you are too fussy as going solely for ones on offer:rotfl: - maybe best buying the specific ones that are in M's 5 for £4 (or if you need other items, such as McCains Mexican Wedges) that are also in that offer. Works out at 80p each.

If they had been in a different store, in other words in M rather than A, they might have picked up five of a different mix of Birds Eye Grills rather than 4, and paid the same total price for them as they paid in A for one fewer pack.
