There was no hope for this receipt...I frowned when I first saw it:rotfl:. Pringles, pringles, £1 pringles:mad::rotfl:. So, for those that want to buy at A's prices at Mr T:
8 items (6 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda tesco
1x Pringles Original (190G) £1.00 £2.48
2x Vimto Fizzy Original (2LT) £2.00 £3.40
1x ASDA Chosen By You Diet Iron Brew (2LT) £0.55 N/A
1x Maryland Soft Baked Double Choc Chunk Cookies (200G) £1.50 £1.49
2x Nestle Milkybar Chocolate Pots (6X60G) £2.00 £2.00
1x Cadbury 14 Chocolate Brownie Amaze Bites (14PK) £1.50 £2.00 As if £1.50 for some brownie bites was a price to look at!:rotfl:
1x Pringles Roast Chicken & Herbs (190G) £1.00 N/A
1x Nesquik Snack Chocolate (4X26G) £0.98 £1.00
1x Pringles Thai Sweet Chilli (190G) £1.00 N/A
1x Feldhues Sausage Pork and Turkey Cooked Sausages (100G) £1.00 N/A
Comparison total (compared products only) £8.98 £12.37
cheaper +£3.39
In effect, seeing £2.48 on the SEL on the Pringles in T means £1, if all of the other brands in your shopping are cheaper or same price at A.
Pringles Original and Thai Chilli not even picking up Morries expensive new mbuy price between them:(. However, Chicken & Herbs version - they're my favourite too:D - picking up old Morries price from last week of £1!:rotfl:
But...it's for those that want to pay for them. I did notice Snackrite in Aldi (surely they are exactly identical, except that they simply have different writing on the labelling?) are 89p, but then I noticed they were also lower weight than the Pringles.
I noticed this whilst searching and checking to make sure I had the name of the Aldi product correct:o:o:rotfl::cool::

Appearance
6/8 assigned the wrong brand to the product, thinking that the Snack Rite Stackers were the Pringles (and vicevera I]sic[/I).
:rotfl:
Told you so:D - they are identical! People think the Snack Rite are Pringles and can't tell the difference. What a surprise:rotfl:. That said, general members of the public aren't very observant in general:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, so it's no wonder, and it's only 8 (or 7? - they seemed confused: We did a blind test of Pringles Salt and Vinegar versus Aldi SnackRite Stackers salt and vinegar with seven people in our family") people so it's not a strict statistical sample. Even when it is, though, all the opinion polls prior to the General Election were wrong! Perhaps one of the eight people wasn't a member of their family:rotfl:.
11 items (9 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda morrisons
1x Pringles Original (190G) £1.00 £2.00:(
2x Vimto Fizzy Original (2LT) £2.00 £3.42
1x ASDA Chosen By You Diet Iron Brew (2LT) £0.55 £0.54
1x Maryland Soft Baked Double Choc Chunk Cookies (200G) £1.50 £1.47
2x Nestle Milkybar Chocolate Pots (6X60G) £2.00 £2.00
1x Cadbury 14 Chocolate Brownie Amaze Bites (14PK) £1.50 £1.50
1x Pringles Roast Chicken & Herbs (190G) £1.00 £1.00
1x Nesquik Snack Chocolate (4X26G) £0.98 £1.00
1x Pringles Thai Sweet Chilli (190G) £1.00 £2.00:(
1x Feldhues Sausage Pork and Turkey Cooked Sausages (100G) £1.00 N/A Comparison total (compared products only) £11.53 £14.93
cheaper +£3.40
So, they bought enough items, and even when they buy different Pringles, the receipt check still contains some useful information.
Separately - you have to read right to the end of Savvy's posts:D;) - I noticed Whole cucumber is comparing 49p vs 45p at Waities - however it is 29p in Lidl.0 -

"1/8 preferred Pringles
2/8 preferred Aldi SnackRide I]sic[/I"
So much for the branded product:rotfl:.
Of course, "Snack Rite" is a brand, it's just not a brand that is as well-known or as preferred (except that maybe it is:rotfl:) by the public.
"All contestents agreed that the SnackRite Stackers were thicker, with more structure, while the Pringles were lighter."
So they are not identical, but most people, in that small sample, still put the wrong brand to them.0 -

Just had such a laugh at home, Mr TS's work were selling off a load of things as they no longer run one of the services.
He was rather chuffed with his haul. But so far a drill with 2 batteries that don't work. And so funny he got a door bell and the choons it plays including a dog barking. :rotfl: We have been in fits over what to choose, not had a working doorbell for years and sort of got used to it.
Wonder what other use[STRIKE]less[/STRIKE]ful tat he has bought. It was all taken straight into his workshop. :think:0 -
