Here's an attempt at an A v M shop from 2 hours ago. I was trying to test out all the yummy items that should compare against the real M price of 50p each.

Just goes to show that no matter how experienced you are at this glitching lark, you can never predict the M manual price collectors..:rotfl:

Oh, the apg comparisons currently only take 2 hours, not the normal 3 since the clocks went back. No idea if this will last, but for the moment, have fun..:D:D

    1x Alpen Light Chocolate & Fudge Bars (5PK) £1.00 £0.50
    1x Alpen Light Cherry Bakewell Bars (5PK) £1.00 £2.00
    1x Alpen Cereal Bars Strawberry & Yogurt (5X29G) £1.00 £2.00
    1x Alpen Light Double Chocolate Bars (5PK) £1.00 £2.00
    1x Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Chewy Marshmallow (4X28G) £1.98 £1.92
    1x Fox's Rocky Rugged Chocolate 10 Individually Wrapped Bars (10PK) £1.00 £1.59
    1x Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolaty (4X36G) £1.98 £1.99
    1x Fox's Rocky Molten Caramel 10 Individually Wrapped Bars (10PK) £1.00 £1.59
    1x Alpen Light Summer Fruits Bars (5PK) £1.00 £2.00
Thank you. So the choc & fudge would be worth doing on a C&C. Order 10 and might get some subbed with the other flavours anyhow :)

Did you recall me saying I was going to the Boots event tonight?

Well I did. [1] But my invite was printed incorrectly and it was on last night:o:mad:

I bought some perfume and they agreed to honour the £10 in points......[2] SA said they'd had loads of people turning up so they had no alternative. But she was so awkward. Unlike previous years she wouldn't add any extra points from coupons ....she even counted up the points I'd made on the perfume .....44.....and subtracted them from the £10 in bonus points. She wasn't very pleasant at all and clearly upset with the deluge of people they were going to get tonight.
I accepted everything she said knowing that in the back of my mind I was already wording a complaint to Boots. I'd told a whole office at work about the event and lots of people were going through and I'd travelled 5 miles out of my way to bloomin well get there.

Let you know how I get on:o

[1] :rotfl:Sorry, but that is so funny:o. Have you tried complaining for your lost time and (partially) 'wasted' journey? EDIT: Read the entire post first before you speak Savvy!:rotfl:

[2] As I'm in a complaining mood, especially with Advertising Standards...:rotfl:

The error must therefore have clearly been more widespread. Surely this is a "sales promotion" event and therefore should not give consumers reasonable grounds for disappointment/inconvenience under the advertising Sales Promotion Code? It appears that the invite was misleading...and you clearly suffered detriment (loss) as a result. (Albeit probably from a printer's error.)

    I'm not a lawyer:rotfl:. Disclaimer.

EDIT: Probably pretty hopeless though, going to Advertising Standards...as I mentioned before, they don't give compensation. I suspect all they'll do, if anything, is print and uphold a complaint or probably resolve the matter informally. All they are concerned with is whether it complied with the rules of the Codes. The 'advertising' has run its course, won't reappear and is now over (I basically think it's therefore closed as "resolved"), so there is little that can be done to ask for its withdrawal (they can only ask, they have no legal power over non-broadcast advertising) so it's all too late.

    Good to see you DeeDee

Very true - I was upset when DeeDee found it necessary to take herself off. Glad she has re-appeared on a happier thread.
