right tea all drunk, all caught up I think, time to get cracking.

I feel really resentful about the lack of daylight now - you think having lived on this planet for decades I would be used to it by now - yesterday we came in from the garden because it was going dark and it was only 4 o'clock and by 5 it was pitch black

You dare not have a lie in now, always feel under pressure to get jobs finished in the limited amount of day we have now

this is my first full day at home for almost a week so the house needs a good scrub and a tidy up but by the time I've done that most of the day will be gone again

I am getting rather tired of my phone, but want at least a semi-reasonable smartphone without the cost. I have a sim only plan that I am going to try to stick to. So what I am after is something like a Samsung S3 mini (don't like big phones) for around the £60-£70 mark.

Anyone knowledgeable about phones? Will go for something comparable if necessary, but would need to be either sim free, unlocked or Vodafone (am on Talk Mobile).

Tried to persuade Carphone Warehouse to let me have the upgrade but they don't do Talk Mobile anymore :(

Have a look at the Motorola Moto E 4G. You can get one at CPW for £89.99 SIM free. Excellent entry level smart phone, with good reviews.

Also on Amazon for £88 at the moment:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorola-Moto-Generation-SIM-Free-Smartphone/dp/B00U22NGZM

or Tesco for £89, in case you have MOCs ;)

8GB internal memory (the absolute minimum you should consider) but can take micro-SD to boost storage for photos, music, films etc.

I have the Moto G, the next model up, but apparently very little difference.

These Motorola phones run very clean, stock-version Android with no bloat-ware, and are good with OS updates.

We have lots of squirrels in our garden. Love watching them burying the walnuts from our neighbours tree. In spring I have to pull up all the baby walnut trees.

DH wasn't so pleased when they ate the casing off his solar lights

    Morning Everyone :)

Anyway I had better announce what I've been up to

Yesterday I had my hospital appointment for a hysteroscopy which was done at the gynae outpatients clinic and you will be pleased to know my inner workings are all shiny and pink and fluffy, no polyps, nothing sinister, no samples or biopsy needed :j

(they say most women "bear it" - this one didn't and I needed a local which was also painful - normal oral pain killers categorically do not work)

this was the end of a few weeks of careful controlled and well disguised and hidden hysteria.

It started when I had the normal smear and I was asked if I had anything to report. In the interests of honestly I had to report mild spotting a few months back.
Because of this the doc then had to follow procedure even though I had no other symptoms whatsoever.

Firstly I had a scan - this took 3 letters and 2 phone calls to organise as they were giving me appointments for the other local hospital, 2 hours away via various buses or trains - impossible to get to if you don't drive.

Then after this 3 days later I had a phone call from the docs and I was asked to make an appointment - worrying. It turned out that one of the things they measure is the thickness of the lining and you have to be within set parameters - I was 1mm too thick so that ticked another box.

Next day I had a phone call from the clinic to make an appointment which was last week. This though just turned out to be a booking in session, just taking your medical history yet again and yet another internal exam - this could have been done by the GP very easily or even the practice nurse.

And then I was booked in for this weeks torture - thought it better to get it over with.

    so that was yesterdays outing.

So nothing to worry about at all and I can now be taken off the sick list, although I was never really on it.
