Managed 3 wombles with pumpkin yesterday
I was coming on to ponder about this - the possibility of getting pumpkins on wombles from sainsbobs.
I thought my other sainsbobs would be likely as its town centre and next to various bus stops but my own store is edge of town and has to be driven to, no one accidentally walks past it - still I can live in hope“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Everyone I talk to, whatever their circumstances says how expensive Sainsburys is and this is a prime exampleSavvybuyer wrote: »This is probably going to turn into a sequence now:rotfl:.
A simple item.
Sainsbury's Basics Rice Pudding (400g)
30p 7.5p / 100g
15p
15p
15p
And, for the record, there is actually one slightly different weight elsewhere so we should reflect that. T's rice pudding can is slightly larger, so S is actually more than twice the cost of T.
If you buy "value" range rice pudding from S, you are paying at least twice the cost of T, A and M (unless you get some Nectar points beyond what is normal, but then you are still paying twice the cost in order to get those points, so I think we'll ignore my devious point in parentheses again).“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I am getting rather tired of my phone, but want at least a semi-reasonable smartphone without the cost. I have a sim only plan that I am going to try to stick to. So what I am after is something like a Samsung S3 mini (don't like big phones) for around the £60-£70 mark.
Anyone knowledgeable about phones? Will go for something comparable if necessary, but would need to be either sim free, unlocked or Vodafone (am on Talk Mobile).
Tried to persuade Carphone Warehouse to let me have the upgrade but they don't do Talk Mobile anymoreWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
all these comparisons are really interesting - might be worth putting each one individually on their FB pageSavvybuyer wrote: »Not quite twice the cost - but I think Sains has 'always' (or at least long) been out of line price-wise:
Sainsbury's Basics Vinegar (568ml)
40p 7p / 100ml
21p
21p
And look at this compared to T and A:eek::
Sainsbury's Basics All Purpose Cleaner (1L)
80p 8p / 100ml
25p
25p
50p
If you buy just three or four Basics items you are adding several pence on each one of them to your shopping bill! And, buy those, or other three/four, every week and over the year the pennies amount up into pounds!“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Morning:D
You could go into a CPW store and have a look at the displays. I got mum a simple phone to replace her v old Nokia, and they had smartphones on offer too, sim free, so you could pop your old sim into one and keep your plan. Hth

I've had Maynards wine gums for £1 on offer at sainsburys last week - they were on both of our Sainsburys mycoupons list so I got 40 nectar points for themSavvybuyer wrote: »Savvy Buy Morrisons? Don't they realise these were 2 for £2 earlier in the year when I bagged mine for Christmas?:rotfl:
Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts (460g)
£1.96:(
Maynards Wine Gums (460g)
£1.96 (tut, shakes head):rotfl:
Anyone who has come late to the Elite thread - commiserations - otherwise, everyone else, should have got theirs back then - I did say, at the time, that I didn't think we would see another offer as good as the shortlived 2 for £2.
Just get some Dominion's bags from Aldi and fill a carton full of those;):rotfl:.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
