what ship and what were the ports you visited. :o:o:o:o

i knew i had not been on it as you said you were asked to paid in euros for the medic

lucky dm is at southampton now

    Hiya zippy.
    Sorry, thought VT had said.
We were on the MSC Fantasia. Flew Vuelin to Barcelona to embark, then the ports were Marseilles, Genoa, Naples, Messina, Valetta, Majorca and back to Barcelona.
For me it was going to be a Marmite experience, love it or hate it. I absolutely loved it, and can't wait to do it again. Don't think it would be DH's thing though.
VT and I had a fab time as we get on so well. The ship was lovely, clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. The decor was amazing, marble and wall art everywhere, painted ceilings, and those staircases. Food was excellent, apart from the dodgy bacon roll from the buffet. We had breakfast brought to the cabin every morning, ate in the Red Velvet restaurant at lunch and were upgraded to the posh Gold restaurant for our evening meal. Lots of glamming up in the evenings. Drank gallons of free cocktails, Prosecco, and some very posh coffees. The pool deck was very busy, but we paid a bit extra to go to the adult only sundeck, with a reserved cabana.

Where are you going on your next one, and when?
    Lucky dm.

Confused and lost theuse of his right side.

But we did fight it talk

He will recover, we have his 80th Birthday in a castle to aim for :D

So glad for you snap. He is from a fighting, hardy generation, so the talk will encourage him. Hemiparesis is frustrating for him, but physio can help a lot.
    Hope things improve for you.

    Ooooh I like a nice bit o' dust :)

Nearly finished baking. 120 cupcakes baked and one 6" cake in the oven to go, then the real mess can begin!

I really want you to live next door to me!

DS2 baked a cake of Thursday, as he was going to a party where they had to take something strange to eat. He considered lots of different concoctions, and settled on making a cake with lemon icing...... and putting cockroaches in it (they are edible ones from the middle east)

As people know, I've put (what I think to be) promotional words in product names, such as "Good & Balanced" - whether something is "good" or not, or even whether it is "balanced", is a matter of pure subjectivity - and Mr A's "Protect" products (no more or less likely to "protect" than any other alternative available elsewhere that does not have the word "protect" in its name:p), in quotation marks so as not to be promoting them myself or so as for myself not to suggest that I agree with and endorse the wording (neither, for that matter, to disagree with them either) and to maintain my impartiality.

However, I've thought that putting the words in quotation marks rather draws more attention to them and thus achieves the precise opposite of its aim - promoting the words even more. I'm therefore going to drop my use of quotation marks. Obviously I need to use the names of products so that you know what I'm talking about and which product I am mentioning. Not that anyone on here would allow themselves to be influenced by words used in product names so as to buy them:rotfl:.

But I bet you are (unless you're autistic*) - they're words that act subconsciously sometimes, or to paint an image that favours you to buying the products. So, next time you see "A Protect", think: am I buying this product merely because it says "Protect" in its name?

It's 'always' gone on however, and is not a modern phenomenon. Remember a variety of apples that are called Golden Delicious? Both the word "Golden", and it's, I would say, positive associations (to gold and worth) and the word "Delicious" are "promotional". Would you buy "Golden Delicious:D:D" more if they were called "Golden apples"? I doubt they would have called some apples "trashy pile of rubbish" apples:rotfl:. So, it's certainly always gone on. Just be aware (or continue to be aware) of how stores are attempting to influence you however and that's one key actually to saving money rather than buying necessarily the things they want you to buy (which probably don't)!

*I think I tend to fall for it less often, probably because words and detail strike me obviously and I therefore see what they're up to before any influencing and thus manage to avoid them doing so. Also, their tactics (as I've mentioned before) are directed (as they have to be) at how to influence the majority population - the non-autistic people. But I'm not immune to it though and have sometimes fallen for it:(. A very good marketing is one that draws me in and has me agreeing with it:(:(:(:rotfl::rotfl:. (It has to tug at the emotions - harder to do with me, but not impossible.)
