You should be OK, but they might turn around and say the retailer cancelled the order due to stock shortage (that happened to me last week)

They gave me a replacement £25 off code to use today but now I have to wait for them to come back and say they can beat any of the prices I've asked them to before I can use it.

Are we thinking cynically that they will struggle to beat any prices this weekend?

Is Whyte & Mackay Scotch still £18.50 in A? TIA.

(It's already on r'back, from £20 to £18.50, so I imagine they're not bringing it further down to match M's £15 price? Or is it £15 instore in A?)

It's the only one I'm not crossing out on my list:rotfl:. Others now no good as no glitch seems possible:rotfl::rotfl::naughty:.

I hope Enterprise-1701C is watching SyFy channel just now

Made me look there, been doing a few things on the lappie, got work to catch up with.

As it happens it is one of the ones I have watched till I know what is happening before it happens, rather distracting having Tasha back but she was one of my favourite characters in that.

  • Enjoyed the walk to Hilbre Island, though it was quite windy.
Used to be a pub there, the Seagull Inn, in Victorian times (supposedly, the landlord got rich from smuggling). Did you spot, at the disused lifeboat station, the Hilbre Island Tide Gauge, 19th century and powered by clockwork, but still providing tide-height data used by every large ship entering Liverpool (despite modern seagoing navigational equipment).
For fans of Britain's little offshore worlds, 'Tiny Islands' by Dixe Wills is a recommended read:
