Switching Credit Report Question

Hello
Sorry for the silly question but I'm new to the switching business. I want to switch my HSBC Advance account to TSB 555 but I also want to keep something open with HSBC because I have been there for about 18 years. If I leave a savings account open with them or a credit card, would that be enough for my credit report to show that I'm still banking with them? I'm not sure if it looks better on my credit report to still have a HSBCcurrent account or if a credit card or savings account will be fine.
Many thanks

Now you have two accounts reported by HSBC.
If you switch your current account and keep the CC, one account will be shown as closed for the next 6(?) years, then will disappear.
Savings accounts aren't reported.
IMO, a longstanding current account is more important as you are often asked this specific question when applying.
As it's advised to have at least two current accounts with different banks, consider opening a new account with HSBC, switching it for a bonus and keeping the old account.0
