Unfortunately, I'm a vote against Evans. It won't affect everyone but I found that although the calf width was much better for me, the boots were MASSIVE around the ankles. I could pinch about 2 inches of excess material around my ankles and every time I stepped my foot would fall out at the heel. Good for anyone who has larger ankles too though.

I'm still on the hunt and my 4 year old Dunlop wellies (It took me 6 years to find them in the first place!) have developed a hole so it's getting urgent!

The op wants wide calf, not wide feet fitting boots, I can't see any wide calf boots on there?

Interesting if they do them though as I also need a pair.

I have larger than average calves, and am a size 5 (as is the OP). I've had great boots from new look that fit my calves, they always have elastic on the sides but tastefully done, and they are pretty cheap.

They do do them, best to go in store and try them on - I got a pair of tan knee high ones last year which have adjustable buckles and elastic on them, I think they were 24.99.

Thanks I went in when the other user mentioned them but the staff looked at me blankly when I said Boots for larger calves and they told me that all boots are standard and there is no such thing !

I tried a few pairs on but they came no where near my calves unfortunately.
