Free view drop outs

I have recently replaced my tv with a 40 inch HD model, and all is wonderful, except I now get short drop outs on the HD channels briefly giving my a no signal message. Signal strength and quality are 1Os across the board, however I live on the flight path from a small airport, and It would seem that these drop outs coincide with aircraft going over my house.
My arial is just about perfectly aligned with the flight path and the planes are not at a great height so I'm not too sure if anything that can be done about this, but if anyone has sorted out a similar problem I would love to hear about it.

Maybe the tuner on the new TV isn't as strong as the old one. You say the signal is '10' across all channels but are you able to delve deeper into the Menus for more precise info, as I find the 10 actually means very little.
On my Panasonic it's something like Menu>Set Up>DVB menu>Signal condition.
From here you can see the signal strength and signal quality, and watch it in real time so you can see if it drops when an aeroplane passes. It's more the strength you're bothered about.
Regardless, if the only thing that's changed is your TV then logic would say the problem lies there. So, either try a different TV or get a bigger, higher gain aerial.0 -
This only happens on HD channels and the old set could not receive these so that does not rule out something other than the TV.
I had a TV engineer out this morning, and of cause no aircraft activity or drop outs while he was here, and signal quality and strength stayed very good while he was monitoring it. He is pretty sure this is an external interference issue, possibly linked to the strong 4g signal he could see going into the set.
He is pretty certain the issue is external interference, so the first thing to eliminate is 4g by filtering out those signals.0
