            I would stick some in high interest current accounts as emergency money, some in pensions for you and your wife, pay some off your mortgage and look into investing in stocks and shares if you have a large amount of monthly disposable income. What is the money intended for?             It is quite clear to me, as a HRTaxpayer i'd be putting mroe into pensions NOW.
While you still get the HRT relief. As 100 into your pension will only cost you 60. Will your employer pay in more than 8%, if you put more in? Even if they dont, its a no brainer.0 -

I almost agree - the proviso is that you do need to watch the LTA. £1.25m at present. We have no idea how much the OP already has in his pension pot.
