Combi boiler repair

Anyone had a recent repair, combi boiler tripped tonight, water pressure ok and fan starts then after about 12-15 seconds it shuts down.
Obvious things would be air pressure sensor or ignitor, as its so fast to trip I am leaning towards fan / air pressure sensor.
As not a gas safe engineer only oil fired marine boilers think it should be an easy fix but would like to try an get an idea of cost, Sunday night is not a ideal time for it to happen so I will phone some local boiler guys in the morning

  • Ok, I was right it was the fan plus the differential pressure switch had been bodged in the past, one small hose removed and plugged.
Tried good local heating guys but all booked up so got a small local company who sent a guy on Monday afternoon, found the fault and had to order the fan, different guy came and fitted it today and cleaned and fitted a new hose to the switch, came to £260 + VAT so £312.
Found the fan on the internet for £120 but I wanted a gas safe engineer to look it over as it is the first time in this house.
Anyway heating and hot water back on now.
