Hi All,
I would like to setup a webcam at home for a bit of security monitoring.
All the cameras I have found have a cost upwards of £200 and seemed to be aimed at security of commercial buildings.
Am probably asking a lot, but here goes!
1. Should be wireless and IP so that I can connect to my router without my PC running.
2. Suitable for outside use.
3. Have motion detection.
Has anybody any recomendadtions?
Does anyone know of cheaper units, ie less than £200 (or even better less than £100)?

IP wireless cameras aren't that cheap, especially if you want to have a weatherproof one as well. I've been looking myself. I did have this set up on an old PC running Linux and Zoneminder via an old Pace USB camera, but it didn't seem interested in working with any more modern USB cams. Seems like you want quite a lot of capability for not a lot of money - Zoneminder handles the motion detection and video recording aspects of things, and is free, but does require a suitable PC.0 -
I've just had another catalogue through from CPC, they're showing a Grandtec WiFi 640x480 camera for only 75 + VAT. Their part code is CS1265501.0
